Our business is deeply engrained in Colorado real estate areas. We are long-standing members of many key organizations, to include the American Society of Home Inspectors, (ASHI), the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado (A+ Rating), Pikes Peak Association of Realtors, Denver Metro Association of Realtors, and the Women’s Council of Realtors, as well as being certified through the American Home Inspectors Institute.
GFHI is a multi-inspector firm. For our agents and clients, this means ease of scheduling, with many inspection time slots open, seven days a week. Choose from professional certified inspectors Ken Schipper, Kevin Schanche, Joe Gardino, Chris Kjeldsen, and Walter Kruger, as available. We can schedule to inspect properties starting at 8 in the morning until dusk each evening. We are experienced with multiple types of homes, from pre-turn-of-the-century Victorian houses to contemporary new construction.

As a certified trainer for AHIT, Chris travels the nation teach up-and-coming home inspectors to be one of the best. Here at GFHI, our inspectors receive top-notch training and education. Our inspectors are trained by firm owner Christopher Kjeldsen, who is a Certified Trainer for American Home Inspector Institute, (AHIT). Christopher also teaches classes at area locations to education new real estate agents and financial specialists. There are only ten trainers nationwide with the knowledge and experience it takes to teach at AHIT, and GFHI is blessed to have our very own trainer at work here in Colorado Springs! Ground Floor requires our inspectors to pass the National Home Inspection Exam and each home inspection report is reviewed by Chris before it is sent to any client or agent. Our inspection reports are the best! Home inspection report will come to you in an email on the same day as the inspection. After review, each inspection report is emailed to clients and agents as soon as possible following an inspection. Ground Floor practices expediency in sending out reports to assist with keeping you under any inspection objection deadlines. Barring special circumstances, you can count on us to get your documents to you quickly. Our certified professional home inspectors spend 3 - 3 1/2 hours on most inspections and provide a detailed report with over 400 items inspected.

We now offer two types of radon tests! You can choose from canister testing or computerized testing when you book a radon test. We offer an automatic discount of $25 when you purchase a radon test with a home inspection. Our team has expanded to include Certified Radon Gas Specialist Treese Kjeldsen, who stays current on all things to do with radon gas in the area.
