MEET THE TEAM

2021-10 Real Producers Ad copy.jpg

At Ground Floor Home Inspection, we truly believe in family. Our inspection reports are prepared first and foremost for your safety and your family. We also take your investment very seriously and ensure we add value to your investment by providing you with a detailed, quality home inspection report. Our inspectors believe in raising the industry standards to disrupt the status quo. This is done by being part of a bigger team that protects, educates, and is driven to excellence to offer high-quality home inspections.

We also take certification and education very seriously. Our inspectors must first be trained and certified by an accredited national home inspector school. In addition, they must pass the National Home Inspector Examination and complete annual continuing education (primarily through ASHI—American Society of Home Inspectors). None of these are requirements in the state of Colorado; however, they are requirements for Ground Floor Home Inspection.

Wally Kruger Head Shot Lo Res.jpg

Meet Walter Kruger! You may know him as Wally; he is named after his grandfather. Walter was born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y., where his mom lives in the same home he grew up in. Walter does not have any siblings and is, therefore, an only child. He loves the water, especially Lake Erie, and beautiful sunsets.

Wally moved friends to the Air Force Academy in 1995, vowing to return and live in Colorado Springs. In 1996, he did just that and lived for a short time as a civilian on the U.S.A.F.A. - who does that? Falling in love with the mountains and blue skies, he made residence here in 1996 and enjoys the sunrises and sunsets shown on Pikes Peak.

Wally met his love and bride of 20 years, Teri, at Village Seven Presbyterian Church in 1999. They married in 2000. They have two grown children, Jacob and Hannah. Their youngest, Rebecca, attends Air Academy High School. Their grandson, Raymond, will be two this year. Outside of work, Wally enjoys training in karate. He has been a member and instructor at Universal Kempo Karate Schools Association since 2003.

Wally is certified in Residential Heating & Air Conditioning through Pikes Peak Community College. He has enjoyed being a commercial kitchen appliance repairman and nursing home maintenance director, and in 2016, he became a professional home inspector. The following year, he joined Ground Floor Home Inspection, Inc. (You may recognize Hannah & Rebecca from delivering the infamous Realtor Survival Kits to Open Houses in Colorado Springs/Denver or talking to Hannah when scheduling a home inspection!) While most home inspectors in the real estate industry last 3 years or less, he can’t imagine doing anything else!

8B4A7221 Ken Holaday Lo Res.jpg

Before joining Ground Floor Home Inspection, Inc., Ken worked as an electrician for over 23 years. He has worked extensively in newer homes, ensuring the electrical is hooked up and working for the new owners.

When Ken isn’t inspecting, he enjoys getting out of the house and checking out local nature spots where you will find him stalking birds, flowers, and scenery with his camera. Ken also loves to stop and watch trains, even when not at a train crossing. As much as Ken loves those Colorado mountains, he misses canoeing down the MN lakes!

Ken is excited to be part of a team that helps a future home buyer make an informed decision.
