WOOD DESTROYING

ORGANISM/INSECT INSPECTIONS

Certified inspectors examine all accessible areas for evidence of infestation by termites, carpenter ants, beetles, and other wood-destroying pests. Primary inspection sites include basements, crawl spaces, attics, locations with moisture or leaks, exterior wood, wood-to-soil contact points, decaying wood, interior wood structures, adjacent trees or stumps, and areas surrounding chimneys and roofs.

Signs of infestation include small holes, sawdust-like droppings, and weakened or hollow wood.

Following the inspection, a detailed report is provided. This includes the NPMA-33 termite report when required for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) loans. The report identifies current or potential infestations and provides recommendations for treatment and property management decisions.
